Even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will.
Ephesians 1:4-5
According to the Webster dictionary the definition of Adopt is to take by choice into a relationship; especially: to take voluntarily (a child of other parents) as one’s own child! God loves us, he chose us, and he adopted us into his family. God’s family has perks, through His son we have redemption and a God given purpose.
Ephesians 1:7-10
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.
God loved us before he created the earth and it was his purpose all along that he would adopt us into his family. The purpose for your life is no longer a mystery, it is be to a redeemed son or daughter of God. Revival starts with you, it starts in you. It comes from knowing that you are loved. You belong. You are redeemed. You are set free. You have purpose. You are God’s.
