how much does it cost?
Each Semester will cost $75.00 This tuition cost does not include any required books or supplies. The $35 Application Fee (Non-Refundable) is applied to tuition upon enrollment.
When do we meet?
Classes meet once a week on Thursdays nights from 6-8 PM at Summit Church in the Church Office. Each course will also have weekly online teachings & assignments.

Summit School of Ministry is for anyone who is seeking to know more about God, the Bible, and grow in leadership. Whether you feel called to be in full-time ministry or work in the marketplace.
NEW TESTAMENT SURVEY AND BIBLE DOCTRINE
This year will cover the Gospels, Acts of the Apostles, The Epistles, General Epistles, The Book of Revelation, and more.
LEADERSHIP PRINCIPLES AND COMMUNICATION
This year is designed to help you develop leadership for the purpose of ministry and to learn how to communicate effectively.
SEMESTER BREAKDOWN
semester one :: NEW TESTAMENT SURVEY
A survey of the New Testament takes into account an introduction, history and the explanation or interpretation of texts, and their applications to life. It will give the student a better understanding of the times, cultures, and events surrounding the purpose of it’s intent. The course will cover The Gospels, Acts of Apostles, The Epistles, General Epistles and the Book of Revelation. A New Testament survey shows the fulfillment of the Old Testament promises, judgment, and rewards.
semester two :: BIBLE DOCTRINES AND THEOLOGY
This course will cover Bible basics for personal spiritual development. Topics covered will be Sin, Grace, Repentance, Faith, Submission, Justification, Regeneration, Sanctification, Adoption, Glorification, God revelation of himself through scripture, special visitation, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. It will cover The Trinity, God’s Characteristics, Christology, The Holy Spirit, The Bible, prayer, The Church, Worship, Stewardship, The Great Commission, The Return of Christ and the Sacraments of the Church.
SEMESTER THREE :: LEADERSHIP
This course’s emphasis is on developing leaders for the purpose of ministry. It will cover the 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, Developing the Leader Within You, Developing the Leaders Around You and Today Matters (all books by John Maxwell)
SEMESTER FOUR :: COMMUNICATION
This is a course that will supply practical teachings regarding how to communicate effectively. Communication has not happened until there is a mutual understanding. The book for this semester will include “Everyone Communicates Few Connect” by John Maxwell
MORE ABOUT SUMMIT SCHOOL OF MINISTRY
The Summit School of Ministry is for any person called into the ministry. It is also for anyone wanting a greater understanding of the Bible or leadership training. Summit School of Ministry will provide 3 levels of academic classes over a 2 year period. Classes offered will be focused on New Testament Study, Bible Doctrine, Leadership Training and Ministry Application. A School of Ministry student will receive approximately 68 hours of teaching by the completion of the program. There will be a two hour on-site class each Thursday evening from 6-8 pm. Accompanying each on-site class will be a weekly multimedia lesson. The School of Ministry will meet each fall and spring semester. The student who completes all academic requirements will receive a certificate of completion.
