“O GOD, You are my God, earnestly will I seek You; my inner self thirsts for You, my flesh longs and is faint for You, in a dry and weary land where no water is. So I have looked upon You in the sanctuary to see Your power and Your glory. Because Your loving- kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You. So will I bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.”

Psalm 63:1-4 AMP

On your feet now—applaud God! Bring a gift of laughter, sing yourselves into his presence. Know this: God is God, and God, God. He made us; we didn’t make him. We’re his people, his well-tended sheep. Enter with the password: “Thank you!” Make yourselves at home, talking praise. Thank him. Worship him. For God is sheer beauty, all-generous in love, loyal always and ever.

“Blessed and fortunate and happy and spiritually prosperous (in that state in which the born-again child of God enjoys His favor and salvation) are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God), for they shall be completely satisfied! [Isa. 55:1, 2.]”

Matthew 5:6 AMP

I love how the word of God uses the terminology of hunger and thirst. It shows us that there is a posture for revival. The posture is one of desperation. (more…)

Jesus said to the disciples in John:

You are my friends if you do what I command.

John 15:14 NLT
